世界小動物獣医師会(WSAVA)のワクチン接種ガイドライン・グループ(VGG)は、「2024 guidelines for the vaccination of dogs and cats」を発行した。Webサイトにpdfが掲載され、ダウンロードできる。2007年に発行された後、2010年、2016年と改訂されてきた。

子犬や子猫にコアワクチン〔子犬では犬ジステンパーウイルス(CDV)、犬アデノウイルス1型(CAV)、犬パルボウイルス2型(CPV)、子猫では猫パルボウイルス(FPV)、猫カリシウイルス(FCV)、猫ヘルペスウイルス-1(FHV)に対する予防〕を2～4週ごとに複数回投与し、最終投与は生後16週以上で行うことが推奨されている。
